The AASFBT is excited to announce that the 2020 Conference will be held on Cockatoo Island in Sydney. Cockatoo Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The island is situated in the western end of Sydney Harbour.
On Thursday 9 July there will be a pre-conference workshop at the Resilience Centre: 51 Rawson Street, Epping NSW 2121. The workshop will be run by our keynote speaker Professor Sara Smock Jordan, and the details can be found here.
The main part of the conference on 10-12 July will be held on Cockatoo Island.
There are a variety of accommodation options available on the Island. Alternatively you may like to stay in the city and commute to the island for the day. The organising group have provided this information which may be of assistance when booking accommodation in Sydney.
Transport to and from the island is easy, with ferries crossing the harbour in all directions. You can plan your trip here.
More details will be provided as the program develops.
