The ASFA is pleased to announce the annual conference is back!

Whether you are an ASFA member or simply interested in Solution-Focus practices you don’t want to miss this.

 

Are you sick of video meetings & conferences by now? The ASFA is excited to be planning our first face to face gathering since 2019, with a program full of keynote presentations, workshops, training and practice activities, and heaps of informal opportunities for connection with other SF-minded people from all around the world.

We need your support to make it happen so please join us!

Dates and Location:

We are coming together on 7th 8th and 9th July 2023 and, in partnership with Queensland University of Technology, the conference will be held in Brisbane at the Kelvin Grove campus in the KG Village area. For those who know the area there are great accommodation and eating options available in walking distance so it will be an easy and relaxing place to get together.  

Pre-Conference Workshop:

On Thursday 6 July Haesun Moon will be running a pre-conference workshop - Information here. This will be separate to the main conference and therefore requires you to purchase a separate ticket. 

Theme and Keynote:

This year’s conference will have a great focus on reconnection for all members and attendees after such a long gap between conferences. We have secured keynote presentations from Haesun [hey-sun] Moon PhD, a Communication Scientist, Semiotician, Researcher, Speaker, Educator, Coach, and Author of Language of Hope, Coaching A to Z, and DOQ, that will sit alongside 'open space' discussions and heaps of workshops facilitated by a range of presenters from various fields.

Accommodation

Quest Apartments in Kelvin Grove are offering conference delegates a 20% discount on their accommodation. You won't find anything closer to the conference. You can use this corporate code: RETURNQKG 

Get Reconnected:

In the spirit of reconnection, we would love as many members as possible to host a workshop or present in some way on your Solution-Focused work, so please email your ideas, questions or expressions of interest to admin@solutionfocused.org.au

We are also seeking expressions of interest from people who could offer their services to help organise the conference as a part of the ASFA conference committee. If you are interested in contributing to the conference committee please email the event organiser Adrian Holmes as soon as humanly possible as we are keen to keep the plans moving and need all the help we can get!
